New federal disclosures filed this week reveal employers paying up to $525 per hour (or $3,800 per day) to keep workers from organizing, from an Oklahoma utility to a Wisconsin Jiffy Lube franchise to a pair of Michigan manufacturers. In at least four of these campaigns, workers voted to unionize despite the assault on their rights.
Here is the breakdown of the latest U.S. Department of Labor filings and related NLRB activity.
The $525-an-Hour Rate: One Gas Inc
The highest rate disclosed this week belongs to One Gas Inc, headquartered in Tulsa, OK. The company has retained LRI Consulting Services, Inc. at $525 per hour to oppose an organizing drive by IBEW Local 1002, with the agreement dated March 3, 2026. LRI is one of the most prolific and expensive union avoidance firms in the country.
LRI Collects Three Paydays
One Gas is not the only employer that turned to LRI this week. The union-busting firm secured two additional contracts:.
Arcosa Inc, based in Dallas, TX, has retained LRI at $425 per hour to fight an organizing campaign by IUOE Local 825 (agreement dated March 9, 2026).
Clarity Telecom, LLC, doing business as Bluepeak, based in Rapid City, SD, also hired LRI at $425 per hour to fight the union. Bluepeak additionally retained attorney Peter Finch of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP. The NLRB case shows a withdrawn status.
Three contracts in one week for a single firm is a reminder of just how industrialized the union-busting industry has become. LRI does not just consult: it runs campaigns at scale, appearing in dozens of disclosures each year across every sector and region.
$3,800 a Day, and Workers Won Anyway: RoadWarrior Productions
Two employers paid RoadWarrior Productions, LLC at a rate of $3,800 per day to fight union campaigns — and in both cases, workers voted to organize regardless.
Waterco of the Central States, based in Lombard, IL, hired RoadWarrior to oppose UA Local 26. The employer also retained attorney Adam Doerr of Husch Blackwell LLP. When the votes were counted on March 27, 2026, workers voted 3 to 0 to unionize. It was unanimous.
AMI Mechanical, based in Las Vegas, NV, also hired RoadWarrior to fight UA Local 525. Workers voted 17 to 10 to unionize on March 27, 2026.
Both employers paid thousands of dollars a day to a persuader firm, and both lost. At $3,800 per day, that money could have gone a long way toward dignified wages and working conditions.
Two Michigan Employers, Two UAW Wins: Labor Consulting Group
A single consulting firm appear in two separate Michigan campaigns this week, both of which ended in union victories.
Webasto Roof Systems, Inc., based in Auburn Hills, MI, retained Labor Consulting Group LLC at $300 per hour to oppose a campaign by the UAW. Workers voted on March 31, 2026 and the result was not close: 276 to 133 in favor of the union.
Ground Effects LLC, based in Flint, MI, also retained Labor Consulting Group at $300 per hour against a UAW campaign. Workers voted to unionize on April 1, 2026.
No Rate, No Transparency: Jiffy Lube in Wisconsin
Team Car Care West, LLC, doing business as Jiffy Lube, operating in Madison, WI, has retained Government Resources Consultants of America to oppose an organizing drive by UFCW Local 1473.
Unlike the other disclosures this week, no compensation rate was listed in the filing. That is a violation of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act. Omitting that rate does not mean the cost is low — it means workers and the public are being kept in the dark. The NLRB case shows a stipulated election agreement, meaning a vote is coming.
Two More Employers Paying to Fight Workers
B. Blair Corporation, based in Ivyland, PA, retained EVGV, LLC at $250 per hour to oppose IUOE Local 542.
Precision Heating and Cooling, Inc., based in Alsip, IL, has retained Labor Management Consultants, LLC at $250 per hour to oppose UA Local 597. No NLRB case number was listed in the disclosure.
