Citizen Access Residential Resources, an organization that provides resources to adults with developmental disabilities, has enlisted the union-busting services of both Lighto Labor, Inc. and Action Resources Labor Consultants to discourage Direct Support Professionals and House Managers from organizing with Local 775 of the Service Employees International Union.
Lighto Labor is being paid upwards of $2,000 a day to bust the unionization effort at CARR, and Action Resources is billing $3,950 a day for on-site union-busting, as well as $395 per hour for any off-site work. Both firms are also being paid for travel to and from the worksite.
Based out of Olympia in Washington state, Citizen Access Residential Resources is a contracted service provider for the Developmental Disabilities Administration, an office of the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services. They are responsible for providing supported living services for adults with developmental disabilities in Washington state. Staff for Citizen Access Residential Resources provide support to adults living under these programs, providing a wide range of support from occasional house visits and teaching to providing 24/7 live-in support based on the needs of residents.
LaborLab has filed a complaint against Action Resources for failure to file their LM-20 within the requisite 30-day window for disclosure. We believe it is crucial that union-busters be held accountable for their violations of federal labor law.
